This just in from my friend Victor, who lives in Kansas City with his wife Annie and daughter Vivien, who is a Bobbledy club member.
Victor: Vivien just dug this out of her book pile and started asking, loudly, “Who ARE these people? Who ARE these people?” Pause. “I know them!!”
To Vivien we say, “Matthew and Robbi, here. Indeed, you do know us. And we are pleased to be recognized by you. Please tell your parents that if they would bring you to Chestertown more often we could ply you with baked goods and become better acquainted. For now, thanks for letting us hang out in your book pile. It’s surprisingly cozy.”
