Halloween is right around the corner. I know because my kids remind me every three minutes or so. Apparently, Alden is going to be a princess and Kato is going to be a jet plane. Robbi has a longstanding habit of not deciding what she is going to be until approximately 30 minutes before Halloween begins. And August, not understanding Halloween at all, will probably be something that leverages his astonishing mop. Medusa, perhaps? Or maybe Bob Dylan.

In any case, Halloween is in the air, and so Robbi drew a spooky picture for today’s prompt. Let’s have a look. Yes, it appears to be a knitting skeleton.

As you contemplate your story, the questions are many.  Who is this skeleton? Why is he knitting? What is he knitting? Is he, perhaps, a she? Who is she knitting this something or other for? Is that a cheerful sort of smile on his/her face/skull, or is it a menacing, “I’m going to eat your brains,” sort of scary sneer? Why, if this is a skeleton, does he/she/it seem to have a mohawk?

We look very much forward to reading what you come up with. Please email me your stories by Monday afternoon so that I can post them on Tuesday.
