Hello everybody!

There’s no point denying that it’s Thanksgiving week. As I type this, the turkey is soaking in a big pot of brine, just waiting for tomorrow morning, when we will fill it with stuffing and rub it with butter, and put it in the oven, and wait four hours while making green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, and Robbi’s special cranberry orange relish. Of course, there will also be pies, and warm buttered rolls, and gravy, and a great big, gut-crushing stomach ache to follow. Yes, I am thankful for all the good food to come, but also (and much more so) for the fact that I will be spending the holiday with Robbi and Alden and Kato and August, my very favorite people in the world.

But what are you thankful for? It’s worth some careful thought. This week’s prompt is to tell us about what makes you the gladdest, the most grateful, the most thankful.

Please write down your thoughts and send them to us in an email. We will be delighted if you also send us a drawing.

Here’ for example is Robbi’s story. It’s very short.

I am thankful for ice cream!

Indeed, that wasn’t much of a story. But Robbi is a woman of few words. This is why she draws pictures. As for the drawing in question, I am thankful to that scurrying rodent for taking Robbi’s ice cream so she can remain focused on the task at hand. There’s a turkey to bake, after all.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!. Let it be known that all of us at Bobbledy Books are thankful for YOU!
