This week we have a writing prompt for you. And here is your inspiration.
Because I don’t know how old you are or the sorts of cinematic influences to which your parents have exposed you, I cannot presume that you are aware of the identity of the gentlemen in the drawing above. But this is none other than Brett Vader, little brother of the dark lord Darth Vader, celebrated antihero of the Star Wars movies, and generally speaking, one of the worst sort of baddies you could ever run into.
Here’s a photo of the real Darth Vader (from his wikipedia page).
Robbi must have been feeling pretty evil as she painted him yesterday.
Darth Vader’s bad behavior has been very well documented, but no one really knows the story of Brett Vader. Maybe he’s mean and bad and awful like his older brother Darth. Or maybe he’s a gentle sort of fellow who likes to chase butterflies and hug grandmothers. It’s up to you to tell Brett’s story!
And even if you know nothing at all about Star Wars or Darth Vader, we still want to year your story about Brett. Please fill it with lots of details.
Please give your story a name and please send it to us by next Monday afternoon so that we can post it on the blog.
And, if you are so inspired, you can bid on this painting over on Ebay. The auction closes at 12:30 on Sunday.
