Hello everyone. It’s Friday, so it’s time for a prompt. Last week you drew pictures of your favorite meals. This week, it’s time to write a story. Robbi wanted to help you get started, so painted a boat and some water and some sunshine. Isn’t it funny that Robbi’s idea of the sun is a bunch of black swirls with orange and yellow paint on top? I’d never draw a sun that way. But I think it’s a very nice sun. It’s amazing how differently we all draw. I think each drawing we make is a little piece of ourselves.
Anyway, take a close look, and then…
…tell us what’s happening in this painting. Who is on the boat? Where is the boat going? Why are there seagulls? Is it hot or cold? Is there an octopus in the water? Is there land nearby? Is there a storm coming?
These are just questions to get you started. You don’t need to answer them if there are other questions in your head.
But whatever you do, tell us what this painting is called and then tell us the story that comes to mind when you look at it.
And when you’re done, send it to us so that we can post it next Wednesday.
