There are lots of things that make me happy.

Alden makes me happy.

Kato makes me happy.

Baby August makes me happy.

And Robbi makes me happy.

But another thing that makes me happy is being surrounded by trees. Walking in the woods or driving on a road with trees towering above me on either side. I like how I feel very small when I’m in the woods. I like how quiet things are, how leaves rustle and creatures scurry about the sky seems so very far away.

The other day, I was driving through trees and realized how very happy it made me.
