The other day we were corresponding with our editor and designer at Chronicle Books. For those of you who don’t know, one of our mix-and-match books (that isn’t particularly for kids, but also isn’t NOT particularly for kids, except for maybe the guys-running-around-in-their-skivvies page and the unfortunate-turn-at-happy-hour page, yeah, okay, not really for kids) Ten Thousand Stories is being published by Chronicle next fall. Anyway, we’ve been going back and forth with lots of technical details that would be boring if it weren’t so exciting that we’re getting a book published by Chronicle. I started to feel like a brain-dead zombie at the end of the week, so I drew this for them:
I thought I’d share, since Halloween is coming up. I originally drew him with just two arms, one holding up the bid paddle, but he stopped looking like a zombie, so I just threw in another arm. That’s the nice thing about drawing. Though people can TELL you that zombies don’t have three arms, no one can actually stop you from drawing one that way. Three cheers for drawing! Three cheers for three arms!
