Last week, we posted Robbi’s drawing of a beaver and prompted kids to tell us the story that came to mind.
As usual, we were not disappointed in their responses. Without further delay…
Joe
Castle for Us
“Beaver: I don’t know how, but I think I’m gonna build a castle for us. It’s gonna take a while, and a lot of branches…but you wait and see!”
Joe was inspired to illustrate his own story, but worried that his beaver looks a bit like a dinosaur.
I think his beaver is great. As is his tree and castle.
Spencer
Beaver Castle
“The beaver is thinking he can build a castle with sticks. And he actually makes it come true. What he ends up actually building looks just like what he was thinking in his head! It’s cool that the beaver can stand on two feet – that beaver must be really smart.”
Tyler
Beavers
“The name of this picture is…”Beavers”…since it’s about beavers! The beaver is there making a home. He wants to make it like a palace. That’s what he’s thinking about. The beaver is holding some wood for making the palace. But actually, the beaver can’t make the palace. He’s just trying to make it but he’s never done it before.”
Avery
He’s Thinking About a Castle
“There was a beaver with an idea. His idea was a castle. He was going to chew the castle into tiny pieces with his big white teeth. His beaver friends helped him chew the castle until it was gone.”
Ellen
Happy Beaver
“That beaver is happy because he built a castle out of sticks and it has flags and all the trees are chopped down now so next the beaver starts to cry and that’s so sad.”
Michael
Beaver
“The beaver needs to brush his teeth.”
Alden
Beavers Wishing to be at a Wooden Castle
“Once upon a time, there was a beaver and he wanted to live in a wooden castle. He really wanted to live in it. And he really wanted to play in it. And he really wanted to stay in it. And he really loved his wooden house. But he could barely sleep in it every night long. And he could barely play tag in it with all his friends. And he really liked the little girl. And they would spend their day together. And…the end.”
Kato
A Pumpkin
A Pumpkin goes in the woods and sleeps in the bunkbed and sleeps on his head. The beaver is chewing a piece of stick and got eaten by a monster. The end.
Thanks to you all for your wonderful stories. If any of you is interested in owning Robbi’s drawing, we just posted it for auction on Ebay. Bidding ends next Monday at 12:30pm eastern time.
