Hello folks. If you’ve been paying attention, you’ve probably noticed that we didn’t post a writing prompt yesterday. For once, it’s not because we were being absent minded and forgot. This time we didn’t post because we’re about to go out of town for three weeks. Once a year, we pack two coolers full of vegetables, hop on a plane, and head to Alaska.

Here’s a photo from last year’s voyage.

Yes, we bring Iggy along for the ride. Iggy loves it in Alaska.

And we love it in Alaska.

We go to Alaska, because, for the past 35 years, Robbi’s family has been running a commercial salmon fishing operation. Basically, this means that we dress head-to-toe in waterproof rubber, jump in the water, and try to catch as many fish as we can.

Sometimes, we’re lucky and catch a lot of fish.

But almost always we have a lot of fun. It’s a completely different part of the world up there.

Over the next few weeks while we’re gone, we’ll be posting pictures and stories of our adventures in Alaska. Be sure to check in.

And we promise that we’ll start doing prompts again as soon as we come back. In the mean time, if you do any drawings or write any stories, please send them to us!
