More Chickens!

by Robbi | Aug 1, 2014 | 0 comments

A few months ago, we sent out the latest Bobbledy album, Where is My Chicken? By all accounts, kids everywhere are attempting to answer that question in a variety of ways, one of which involves completing the drawing sheet we sent along with the mailing.

I’m pleased to share some of their efforts today.

First up, a drawing from Alice.

To truly understand the artist, I think it helps to read the following biography, submitted by her father:

Alice is a three-and-a-half year-old artist, ukulele player, cat-petter, and incipient big sister. She lives in a “garden level” (read: basement) apartment in Washington DC with three goldfish, a blue cat and a tuxedo cat, and her mom and dad and not-quite-born baby sibling, whom she calls “Liki”. When she types her name and other things, it looks like this: Alice112244450009(/$?[]{}<>•.**_

Since this biography was written, Alice’s “incipient” stage has morphed into actual big-sister status. Which is to say, congratulations, Alice, and please remember that babies, unlike chickens, are not edible.

Next up, we have not one, but two chickens from Conrad.

According to Conrad’s mom, “the chicken is wearing a spider suit, however he has an astronaut helmet on, so apparently he is in space.”

Further, “the second chicken is stuck in the center of the earth. I don’t know how it got there, but thats where that chicken is. Go figure.”

I like that Conrad’s two chickens offer such diametrically opposed answers to the question of “Where is My Chicken?” Either in the endless void of outer space or in the roiling magma of Earth’s core. Thanks, Conrad, for being so specific.

And lastly, we have a chicken from Juno, who lives in Singapore, which is very far away from my front door.

What a lovely chicken! What beautifully drawn music notes! I am humbled and inspired by your talents, Juno. Thanks so much for sharing them with us. Though I do still wonder where your chicken is. Perhaps on her way to the recording studio? Or a concert in Carnegie Hall? Or maybe just walking happily down the street, whistling a tune?

Thanks to you guys for sharing your chickens. As for the rest of you, we’d love to see your chickens, too.

As soon as you figure out where they are.
