The other day, I was looking for some cream cheese, so I went to the part of our fridge where we keep it. I was delighted to find what seemed to be almost an entire block of cream cheese, which made me happy because I was really hungry. So I opened the package of cream cheese and found this.
It was blue and black and moldy and fuzzy. In short, it was DISGUSTING. Suddenly I was not hungry at all any more.
Your prompt for this week is to write a story about something that is disgusting.
Maybe it’s that time you stepped in dog poop or the time your sister accidentally sneezed in your face or the time you stepped on a slug with your bare feet.
Or it can be a story you make up about the time you flew to the moon and were captured by aliens and were made to eat raw alien tadpoles for lunch.
We know that your brains are full of stories of things that are gross, yucky, nasty, vile, repulsive, sickening, foul, icky, stomach-churning, off-putting, and disgusting. And we can’t wait to hear them. Even though this is a writing prompt, we would be delighted to see drawings of your disgusting stories if you feel inspired to send them.
So have at it. Warning: this might not be your mom and dad’s favorite prompt in the world, but don’t let that stop you!
Send us your stories (and drawings, photos, etc) by Monday afternoon so that we can post them here next Tuesday.
