And here is another Bobbledy Birthday card, this one from Valerie, who is, as you may remember, the author and illustrator of her very own book.
As one might expect from the seasoned creator of stories and pictures, Valerie has turned Robbi’s simple drawing of two lizards and an open road into a single frame from a much larger story.
Who are Bobby and Lizzy? How do they know each other? Why are they going to Six Flags (other than the fact that Six Flags is wicked fun, of course)? Are they going to have a good time, or will the lines be really long?
I love Valerie’s drawing, especially the terrifying roller coaster (with all those loops) the big yellow sun, and the outstanding signage for the rides. I will never get tired of seeing how different kids complete this picture.
Thanks to Valerie for sending us her version.
And HAPPY BIRTHDAY from all of us in the Barn.
