One of my favorite parts about Bobbledy is seeing kids’ birthday cards come back to us covered with their wonderful drawings. Just now, I got an email from Yarwen, the mom of club member Joe. Here’s what she had to say:
Joe went ahead and finished the drawing inside your card:
The two lizards are riding on bicycles.
They’re heading to a far-away castle (which has knights) for “Joe’s birthday party.”
Along the way are grass, flowers, trees, and buildings.
They will ride very slowly and enjoy the sunshine.
And here’s Joe’s card.
I love how Yarwen’s description and Joe’s drawing work together to create a mood and set a scene. I love that Joe the artist was willing to let those lizards ride slow enough to enjoy the sunshine on the way to his birthday party.
