Yay! We recently got back a birthday card from one of our grown-up subscribers. Her note started off with an apology for being late, which was the surest sign that it was from a grown-up subscriber (my kids sure don’t know what “being late” means). She writes:

It only took me over a month to send this to you, not because I was slaving away at my idea, but because I was lazy. Sad trombone.

Attached you will find the only evidence needed that even a fancy set of Prismacolor colored pencils cannot give one drawing talent. Good thing I have a day job, because I’m sticking to it.

What do you think will happen when that triceratops arrives at the carnival with two lizards on his back?! I’m quite sure nothing that is actually at the carnival will be quite as exciting as that.

Thanks, Amy! Your Prismacolors were not wasted! And happy belated birthday!
