As Matthew and I embark on our quick trip to New York, Alden is planning an escape of her own.
To a desert island. A pink desert island.
Yes, I was working at my computer yesterday and Alden was quietly working at the flat table behind me. When I looked to see what she was doing, she had just decided the the little teeny tiny rolls of play-doh she had used to fashion leaves for her palm tree weren’t going to stick to her tree very well, so instead she made a nice pebble path out of them.
The pebble path, of course, led to the treasure.
That’s the kind of treasure-hunting I could handle – marked with a giant X, on an island I could traverse in two steps, comfortably, on a nice pebble path.
Alden couldn’t agree more.
Treasure indeed.
