Everyone lives somewhere. Some people live in little tiny towns and some people live in great big cities. Cities are pretty interesting places. Generally speaking, cities have tall buildings and taxicabs and hot dog carts and lots of pigeons. Some cities have subways. Others have zoos. If you have ever visited a city, you probably know that strange and stinky steam sometimes comes up from the cracks in the manhole covers.

This week’s prompt has to do with cities. Here goes:

Draw a picture of your city. It can be an actual city or a city in your head. It can have tall buildings or enormous robotic igloos or huge caves crawling with three-headed elephants. Show us your city and the people (or creatures) who live there, and tell us what your city is called.

Here is Robbi’s city. It’s called “Smog City,” and everyone who lives there has indigestion. Which means they have stomach aches. Which means they’re tooting a lot, which is why the city is filled with yucky yellow smoke and smells so bad.

And here is Kato’s city. Shockingly, it’s called, “Kato’s City.”

I’d ask him to tell me about the people who live there, but right after telling me the name of his city, he fell asleep.

Send us your drawings, people! And have a great weekend.
