Happy Tuesday, everyone! So today’s our day to do some drawing. Drawings that have something to do with valentines. Well – I must confess, I had a lot of trouble drawing something for this one. I’m not used to drawing things that are nice and sweet. I’m much better at drawing things that are gross and ugly with really bad teeth and really gnarly hands. So this week’s theme was quite a test for me.
I know that eagles are known to mate for life, meaning they are faithful to each other and raise their babies without running off and getting interested in other eagles when the baby raising is done (or before then!). And so, here are my lovebirds:
You can bid on these nice and sweet birds over HERE on eBay, if you’d like. I sketched out a black and white version beforehand, so you can also feel free to download it HERE and color it in yourself.
Alright! So now it’s your turn to struggle with something sweet and nice to draw. Or, you can send us a picture of the valentines you made to give out to your friends. Have at it! Post your pictures in the comments below or instagram them using #bobbledyvalentines for a chance to win an archival print of the eagles in love above AND to be named Valentine Champion!
And don’t forget my eagles are up for sale until next Sunday on eBay!
Can’t wait to see whatever YOU came up with!

Here is Harvey’s story and picture this week:
Once there was a lot of Hearts putting on a band. Here are the instruments that they used: a violin, a viola, a guitar, an electric guitar, a drum, an electric piano, a piano, and bass flute, and cymbals, and maracas, and a few singers and a few dancers. Some wear glasses; some wear hats. On Valentine’s day they sing a song called “Love” and anyone who hears it falls in love.
Forgot to tell you that the title of Harvey’s story was “The Heart Band”
Here is Sydney’s Valentine collage. She says all these things look like they are in love.
Harvey – I’m glad we can rely on you to make great drawings every week! And tell great stories! I must have heard your heart band sing “Love” as I was reading your story, because I totally fell in love with all of them!! 🙂
Sydney – I see your tastes run the gamut from muppets to cardinals to dowagers! I guess that shows that love is everywhere!
Harry decided to use Robbi’s drawing to make a Valentine’s card for his grandparents–who are his Valentines.
