We all want stuff, and if we were raised right, we were taught to say please, both because it’s nice and because it exponentially increases the likelihood of getting the thing we want. I’m guessing that each of you says please at least a few times each day. And many many times a day. I guess it depends on how much you want (and how polite you are).

Here is a drawing of Robbi’s called Pleading Frog.

To “plead” is to ask for something. Kind of like saying “please.” Often people say “please” when they plead. I’m not sure what it is that this frog wants, but he sure seems to want it a lot. Maybe he wants to be painted. I’m guessing that if he’s patient, he’ll get his wish by next Monday.

As for you, your job for the week is to draw a picture of someone or some thing that is pleading or saying “please” or begging or doing whatever one does to get the thing that he, she, or it wants.

Send us your drawings by Monday afternoon so that we can post them here next Tuesday.

Don’t make me plead. Please.
