Hats are great. They keep our heads warm in the winter. They keep the sunshine out of babies’ eyes. Hats let us know who the chefs are, whose team someone roots for, and whether or not someone is heading for a fancy party.
This week, we want you to draw a picture of your favorite kind of hat. It can be on your head or someone else’s head or on an otter’s head or lying on the floor under a chair and not on anyone’s head at all.
Draw us a hat! And if you have a second, write us a sentence or two about what kind of hat it is and what made you decide to draw it.
Robbi couldn’t decide what kind of hat she wanted to draw, and so she drew all sorts of hats.
Robbi often applies this same approach to choosing what to have for dessert.
