As we posted over on Idiots’Blog a few weeks ago, Robbi and I (and intern Tilly) are going to do a drawing every day of 2013. Rather than come up with a prompt every day, we’re going to use this book, 712 More Things To Draw by Chronicle Books.

It’s basically a book full of prompts, and space to draw. In addition to stimulating creativity, the book is a place to record of a year of drawings (actually, nearly two years, if one has the stamina). I’ve always wanted to draw better and have always wondered whether drawing more might lead to improvement. When all is said and done, it will be fun to look back through the book and see if I’m able to notice any progress.

We invite anyone who is interested to join us—and to send us your favorite drawings from time to time. We’ll be posting some of ours, and we’d be glad to include some of yours, too.

Why should the kids have all the fun? Order a copy of the book today and join us as the fun begins on January 1.

So far, our little daily drawing club is up to 12 members. The more the merrier, we say.
