You Bobbledy club members know that our most recent book Bobby and the Robots is about a little boy who makes robots out of stuff he finds around the house. In the back of the book, we included step-by-step instructions for how to make a robot out of a teabox, toilet paper tube, bendy straws, and plastic forks.

We were hoping that some kids in the club would actually use the instructions to make a robot.

We just got an email from a Bobbledy family that made us so happy that we’re going to share it with you as it arrived in our inbox. The words that follow are from the Bobbledy mom, Peggy.

“Oh my…we sooooooo enjoyed creating our our robots!

Joseph (age 5) named his “RoBoMATIC” and he likes to “clean YOU.”

Julie (age 3) named hers “Ro Bot” and he likes to “pick up paint.”

Through the creation process, Joseph learned that popsicle sticks make exciting legs and Julie learned that using a lot of paint can create the need for a fan to dry your robot.  I learned that glitter is very festive…all over the house…and under my fingernails…and in my coffee.

Thank you, Bobbledy Books, for being so cool.  My heart soars when the kids giggle and jiggle when they see a BB envelope.  Another magical moment is when they see your pictures and say things like “Dats the dad…he writes the words, he’s Mafew. She’s the mom, she’s Robbi, her pictures are good.”

Love Love Love Bobbledy Book!
