As most of you know, Bobbledy Books is one of two small presses Robbi and I run. The other, Idiots’Books, publishes books that are (for the most part) not for kids. But Idiots’Books is a kind of club as well, in that people sign up and we send them all the books we make throughout the year.

Idiots’Books is six years old now, and in that time, we have met some amazing people. One of my favorites is Jed from England, who always corresponds with us through letters. Beautiful, handwritten letters, the pages of which are always graced with Jed’s drawings. Yesterday, we got an envelope from Jed, and we opened it with excitement. As it turns out, he decided to buy a membership to the Bobbledy club for a little girl he knows.

Here’s his letter. I think it needs no further explanation.

The check was tucked into little cuts Jed made in the letter, like a photo tucked into those little corners in a scrapbook.

Jed also included this wonderful drawing.

Needless, to say, we love getting mail from Jed. He’s not a kid, but he loves to draw.

Anyone who loves to draw is welcome here.
